Every place Smilax goes at a wedding: and exactly how much you need

Wedding arch or altar (8×8 ft): 1 Size L box. The single most common Smilax order we ship. For a fuller look or an arch over 10 ft, step up to Size XL. For a half-arch or asymmetrical design, 1 Size M box is usually enough.

Ceremony aisle, both sides (~50 ft): 1 Size XL box. Drape along chair ends or pew ends for a garden-ceremony feel.

Arbor or pergola: Size L to XL. For outdoor ceremonies, wrap the full structure so it reads grown-in rather than decorated.

Aisle markers: short sections wrapped around shepherd's hooks or chair ends. Usually cut from whatever box you already ordered for the arch.

Sweetheart table draping: 1 Size M box. Creates an organic table garland; mix in garden roses or ranunculus for a complete look.

Head table garland (12–15 ft): 1 Size M box.

Reception centerpiece runners: run Smilax down the center of guest tables, then tuck in flowers and candles. A fraction of the cost of built centerpieces. For long straight runs, our ready-made garland is faster: 10 pre-built strands, no construction.

Bar fronts and cake tables: softens plain rental structures in minutes.

Chair backs: a light wrap on the head table or sweetheart chairs.

Hanging chandelier or ceiling install: 1 Size L box. The 8–10 ft vine length is exactly what makes vertical drops work; shorter greenery physically can't do this.

Staircases and banisters: wraps naturally around railings without extra wire. One of the most photographed uses we see.

Photo backdrop walls: builds a lush greenery base layer fast, then signage and florals go on top.

Columns and pillars: wrapped top to bottom for venues with architecture worth softening.

Mantels and fireplaces: draped along the mantel for cooler-weather and holiday weddings.

For a complete wedding: arch plus aisle plus reception tables: most customers order 2 to 3 boxes total.
