Grand Installation — What you receive

• 2 × Size XL boxes of fresh Smilax vines, supplied from our Wild Smilax product.
• Approximate total vine length: 420–520 linear feet. Use 420 ft as the conservative planning reference, not as a guarantee of identical yield.
• Approximate packed weight: 50–60 lbs combined. Natural branching and leaf density vary.
• Not included: flowers, pre-made garlands, arch frames, chandelier rings, wire, ties, rigging or installation labor.

Several small hanging chandeliers

The DIY guide’s small-chandelier reference is about 3 ft in diameter × 2 ft deep with a 70 ft planning allowance. Six such allowances total 420 ft. This comparison applies only to that small design; it is not a guarantee for six large venue chandeliers.

Bar backdrop + ceremony arch

The published bar-backdrop allowance is 240 ft for approximately 12 ft wide × 10 ft high × 2 ft deep. Adding the 120 ft arch reference gives 360 ft. This is a defined combination, not an additional allowance for tables.

Grand staircase / columns

Use actual rail lengths, both sides where relevant, column circumference, winding turns and hanging tails. A tall venue or many columns can use this supply quickly; height alone is not sufficient to estimate it.

Ceiling work

Separate isolated swags from a full canopy. The DIY guide’s approximately 40 × 25 ft canopy uses six XL boxes, so this two-XL package should not be presented as enough for that entire installation.

Illustrative mixed layout: two small-chandelier reference allowances use 140 ft. Two 20 ft rails with four vine passes and 10 ft of tails per rail use 180 ft; adding 10% to the measured railing portion gives 198 ft. Combined planning total: 338 ft. The remaining planning capacity is not a promise of spare material after a denser finish.

Planning allowance: 10% in the measured examples is an explicit allowance for overlap, trimming and adjustments, not a measured loss rate or a guarantee. No extra 10% has been added to the published box-reference allocations.

For room-wide canopies, deep greenery walls, unusually dense designs or large multi-ring fixtures, send dimensions and a reference photo for a specialist quantity review before checkout.

Garden roses for focal clusters and ranunculus for smaller accents. Allocate flowers separately; none are included in this Smilax package.

Compare individual boxes and wholesale variants for a different quantity. Do not substitute the footage of loose vines for the finished length of a pre-made garland.

• Unpack promptly, inspect the vines and loosen the transit bundles.
• Follow the care instructions included with your shipment. Keep the greenery cool and away from direct sun, heat and drying air.
• Mist as directed and plan installation close to the event; appearance and longevity vary with venue conditions.
• Keep greenery away from open flames and hot lamps, and separate it from exposed food.
• For overhead work, have the venue and installer approve supports and attachment points. Greenery does not replace structural fixings.
