Reception Package — What you receive

• 1 × Size XL box of fresh Smilax vines, supplied from our Wild Smilax product.
• Approximate total vine length: 210–260 linear feet. Use 210 ft as the conservative planning reference, not as a guarantee of identical yield.
• Approximate packed weight: 25–30 lbs. Natural branching and leaf density vary.
• Not included: flowers, pre-made garlands, arch frames, chandelier rings, wire, ties, rigging or installation labor.

Guest-table runners

Count tables and the actual runner length on each table. Specify how many vine passes form the runner and whether it continues over the ends. Loose vines are not pre-made, fixed-width garlands.

Head-table displays

Our published starting point assigns one M box to a 12–15 ft head-table run. Three separate M-sized planning allowances total 210 ft, matching the XL low-end reference; actual thickness and any extra drops still need review.

Ceremony aisle as an alternative

The product FAQ gives one XL box as a reference for 20 ft on each side of an aisle. That is a 40 ft decorated path—not 40 ft of vine and not a promise for any aisle length.

Bar edge / small ceiling accents

Measure bar-edge runs and ceiling swags separately, including the actual curved route and hanging tails. A full overhead bar backdrop or room canopy is a different project.

Illustrative reception layout: eight 8 ft table runners with two parallel vine passes use 128 ft. A 10 ft bar edge with three passes and two 2 ft tails uses 34 ft. Combined: 162 ft, or 178.2 ft with a 10% planning allowance. This fits the XL planning reference of 210 ft. It describes an open, layered arrangement—not a guaranteed dense garland width.

Planning allowance: 10% in the measured examples is an explicit allowance for overlap, trimming and adjustments, not a measured loss rate or a guarantee. No extra 10% has been added to the published box-reference allocations.

Add separate allowances for the ceremony arch and large hanging installations. Our DIY guide’s 12 ft-wide × 10 ft-high bar backdrop uses two L boxes, a larger planning quantity than this single XL box.

Wedding focal flowers

Garden roses for focal clusters and ranunculus for smaller accents. Allocate flowers separately; none are included in this Smilax package.

Browse greenery to add contrasting leaf shapes. Mixing foliage changes the amount of Smilax required.

Compare individual boxes and wholesale variants for a different quantity. Do not substitute the footage of loose vines for the finished length of a pre-made garland.

• Unpack promptly, inspect the vines and loosen the transit bundles.
• Follow the care instructions included with your shipment. Keep the greenery cool and away from direct sun, heat and drying air.
• Mist as directed and plan installation close to the event; appearance and longevity vary with venue conditions.
• Keep greenery away from open flames and hot lamps, and separate it from exposed food.
• For overhead work, have the venue and installer approve supports and attachment points. Greenery does not replace structural fixings.
